הקדמה

כשלונה של קהילת המודיעין הישראלית בשבעה באוקטובר 2023 המחיש באופן חד את הצורך בהעמקת המקצועיות המודיעינית: ביסוס תשתית של ידע היסטורי ותאורטי על עולם המודיעין, חידוד החשיבה הביקורתית, שיפור מתודולוגיות המחקר וההערכה, הבנת המורכבות ביחסי המודיעין והקברניט, פיתוח רגישות לדינמיקות מורכבות, לתפניות ולהפתעות, ומודעות לשינויים בעולם המודיעין ובסביבה האסטרטגית, הטכנולוגית והאופרטיבית המשפיעה עליו.

רשימת הקריאה שלפניכם נועדה לשמש כלי לפיתוח מקצועי של אנשי המודיעין בישראל – חוקרים, אוספים, אנשי מבצעים ומנהלים כאחד. היא גם יכולה לשמש כרשימת קריאה בסיסית לאלו השואפים להתפתח כחוקרים אקדמיים בלימודי המודיעין. הרשימה כוללת ספרות מגוונת, קלאסית ועכשווית, מהארץ ומהעולם, העוסקת הן בהיבטים ליבתיים של עבודת המודיעין – התרעה, הערכה, יחסי מודיעין-מדיניות, מבצעי מודיעין – והן בנושאים חוצי-תחומים כמו קוגניציה, אתיקה, חדשנות טכנולוגית ותרבות אסטרטגית. הרשימה נבנתה מתוך כוונה לאפשר העשרה רב-תחומית, לעודד חשיבה ביקורתית ולתרום לפיתוחם המקצועי של אנשי מודיעין ושל חוקרים אקדמיים של מודיעין.
